Sketches
Sketches were a task in which we could choose to either make drawings, collages, or write anything that we liked. We had to do one for each week. As you can see in the pictures I decided to do both of them of collages and write lyrics to some of the artist's songs around magazine cutouts. Sketches were graded over 5 looking for details as well as creativity. We could use any material that we liked but I used magazine cut outs, markers, color pencils and pens. The goal was to keep u practicing art during the whole year every week.
I very much enjoyed the sketches because from all the school work and stress these distressed me. It was fun to look for magazine cutouts specially if we are able to choose the subject that we wish. In this case my favorite artists. What was sometimes hard was when there was too much homework and it was hard to make a space for the sketches. Also, sometimes I had no more ideas of what I wanted to do my sketches of, but I always found something that I enjoyed. I always tried to make my sketches look fun and enjoying and loved doing them.
Finish The Picture
Finish the picture assignment was about cutting a picture from a magazine and finishing it. This means to draw a continuation of the magazine cut out. We had to use a magazine cut out and I decided to finish my picture using markers and color pencils. The goal of this project was to be creative and add to the picture what we felt was missing there.
I had trouble at the beggining with this assigment because I couldn't find a magazine cut out that I wanted to work with. I like to work in my art assignments not because I have to but because I want to, so I wanted a picture that I liked. I found the picture of a girl modeling a wedding dress and I decided to tranform her into a balerina. At first a normal one but then I decided to express a feeling of pressure. The balerina seems to be thinking in a burger but she is trapped between ballet and piranhas. She is obligated to dance even if she doesn´t want to or likes it. She is trapped in a world of expresion since dance is an art and a way of expression but she feels like in a prision. I enjoyed doing this assignment and had almost no trouble with it when I got the idea that I wanted to transmit through my work.

Drawing with words
This project was about choosing any person and draw him or her with words. We had to print a picture of the person that we decided to work with in balck and white and in another paper trace using a pencil the outline of the person. Once this was done using a pen we had to write the words that we chose in the pencil lines and if you wanted in the background.
I decided to use a picture of my favorite artist and use lyrics of some of my favorite songs sang by her. The most challenging part was to trace in the other paper her outline. However, it was mostly fun and looked amazing at the end. This was one of the most enjoyable works that we've done. I think that I did a good job in the project even though I got mistaken at the beggining and had to use a little bit of white out. However, I fixed it and it almost isn´t noticed.
